Born in San Francisco. Lives in and works in Oakland, California.

Education: 2004, SFSU-MSP in Visual Design and Digital Videography; 2008, Entrepreneurship at Renaissance Center, San Francisco.

Has exhibited his work widely and is represented by Andrea Schwartz Gallery, San Francisco.

Shawn Weeden works primarily in oils & acrylics and digital-based mixed media on wood, canvas and paper. Weeden’s meditative paintings incorporate layers of dynamic shapes and repeated forms in an unusual palette of bold colors. The dichotomy between color and line creates an aboriginal presence that is still and inviting.
